How to become member

Individual members

All those who have a high school diploma (EQF level 4) can be enrolled in the Register of Dog Handlers or in the Register of Instructors and who have attended a professional course with a minimum standard in line with IWDA requirements and passed an Exam at an IWDA Examination Board.

In order to be admitted as individual members, you must complete the application form and submit the following documents (or self-certification if required by law):

  • IWDA Evaluation Certificate
  • Certificate of Citizenship
  • Certificate of study title
  • Certificate of Judicial Records
  • Certificate of possession of civil rights
  • Certificate of residence
  • Copy of the payment of the membership fee
  • Digital photo

It is possible to enroll both in the register of dog handlers and in the instructors section.

Collective members

Members of Associations and Companies who have at least one professional registered with the IWDA Register of Handlers and Instructors may be admitted as Associate Members.

  • Copy of the statute / camera review
  • Document of the legal representative
  • Logo for publication in the Register of Collective Members

Individual or collective members not included in Registers

All those who share the goals of International Working Dogs Association, that are interested to be part of a large community of canine professionals, that want to follow seminars and courses and be always updated on Working K9 news can join our association as “Supporter Members”.

In order to be admitted as Supporter members, you must complete the application form and submit the following documents (or self-certification if required by law):

  • Certificate of Citizenship
  • Certificate of study title
  • Certificate of Judicial Records
  • Certificate of enjoyment of civil rights
  • Certificate of residence
  • Copy of the statute / camera review (only for collective members)
  • Document of the legal representative (only for collective members)
  • Copy of the payment of the membership fee
